Chandeliers have been, and continue to be manufactured around the world. Some styles are instantly recognisable, like the Dutch or Flemish style typical of the 16th century, with early versions made from cast brass or bronze. The Venetian chandeliers can be identified by their colourful flower and leaf patterns and the French with their brass or bronze frames dressed with traditional glass drops. Swedish, Scandinavian and Russian chandeliers however all look very similar and their lighter more delicate metalwork can sometimes be difficult to differentiate.
